Browser Based Biometric Check-In And Check-Out

What is biometric check-in and check-out?

You can use a biometric device that authenticates an employee during check-in and check-out. Biometric check-in ensures that employees cannot manipulate their start and end timings as the employee's fingerprint is required for check-in and check-out. To use this capability, you will need to connect a biometric device (fingerprint reader) to your computer.
If you are a multicenter organization, your employees need to register their fingerprint only once, and can then check-in or check-out at any location. Zenoti uses the check-in and check-out data to track attendance and punctuality.

Typically, the front-office personnel or the receptionist have the rights to check in and check out employees. Therefore, ensure that all the instructions provided in this article are carried out on the computer of the front-office personnel or receptionist and that they have the required permissions and rights.

Remember: The web-based biometric check in and check out has the following browser and operating system requirements:

  • Chrome: Required version 45 and below.
  • Firefox: Enrollment supported only on version 12. However, you can perform check in and check out on the latest version of Firefox. You can download version 12 from here.
